International Dispute Resolution

As a matter of principle, we prefer negotiated resolution over litigation. Where negotiations prove unsuccessful, we bring substantial expertise in international dispute resolution: treaty-based arbitration, advisory on commercial proceedings before national courts and enforcement proceedings in multiple jurisdictions. We have assisted clients in complex, high-value disputes before all major arbitral institutions across sectors including energy, banking, mining and defence. Our work spans Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.

Where assets are at risk or already dissipated, we act swiftly. We advise on and coordinate applications for freezing orders and injunctive relief on an urgent basis, working with instructed counsel in the relevant jurisdiction, trace and recover assets across jurisdictions, and coordinate with forensic investigators and correspondent counsel to preserve value under time-critical conditions. We are equally experienced in advising clients who face overreaching or abusive proceedings.

Notably, our work has extended to engaging INTERPOL's Commission for the Control of Files as a strategic forum, achieving the cancellation of notices and negotiated outcomes in circumstances where no established precedent existed.
